What is PRP hair restoration?
PRP (platelet rich plasma) hair restoration uses your own blood. A small sample is taken and prepared to concentrate the platelets, which are then injected into areas of the scalp where hair is thinning. It is used to support natural hair regrowth, and results vary from person to person.
Hair loss has many causes, so treatment always starts with a medical consultation. Alongside PRP, Dr Abes offers PRP with the U225 Meso Gun, polynucleotide hair regeneration, a hair filler treatment and his Signature Advanced Hair Cocktail.

Every course starts with a face-to-face consultation with Dr Abes.

Consultation
Dr Abes looks at your scalp and hair loss pattern, asks about your medical history and explains the options and their risks.
Step 2
Treatment
For PRP, a small blood sample is taken and prepared, then injected into the thinning areas of the scalp.
Step 3
Aftercare
Tenderness, redness or swelling of the scalp can occur and usually settle. You will be given aftercare advice before you leave.
Step 4
Course and review
Each treatment is offered as a course of 3 sessions, and Dr Abes reviews your progress along the way.

Is PRP made from my own blood?
Yes. A small blood sample is taken at your appointment and prepared to concentrate the platelets, which are then used in your treatment.
Will PRP work for my hair loss?
It depends on the cause and pattern of your hair loss. Dr Abes will assess you and explain honestly whether PRP or another option is likely to help, and may suggest further medical advice where appropriate.
Is it for men and women?
Yes. Hair restoration with Dr Abes is available to both men and women, at the same prices.
How many sessions will I need?
Each hair treatment is offered as a course of 3 sessions, or per session. Dr Abes will advise on what is right for you and whether maintenance may help.
When will I see results?
Hair grows slowly, so any change is gradual and usually assessed over several months. Results vary from person to person.
Are there side effects?
The scalp can feel tender afterwards. Side effects such as swelling, redness, bruising and tenderness can occur and usually settle on their own. Rare complications are discussed with you in detail at your consultation.
Who is it suitable for?
Treatment is only for adults over 18 and is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Dr Abes reviews your medical history at a face-to-face consultation before any treatment, and will tell you honestly if it is not right for you.
How much is the consultation?
Consultations with Dr Abes are £50. If you go ahead with treatment, the £50 is deducted from your treatment cost.
