Cryotherapy Lesion Removal
Advanced freezing technology to safely and effectively remove benign skin lesions with precision, minimal discomfort, and no need for surgery.
What Is Cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy works by applying a controlled freezing agent (commonly nitrous oxide or liquid nitrogen–based systems) directly to the lesion. The extreme cold destroys the targeted cells by causing them to crystallise and break down.
Over the following days or weeks, the treated lesion dries out, forms a small scab or crust, and naturally falls away as the skin heals underneath.
What Can Cryotherapy Treat?
Cryotherapy is suitable for removing a wide range of non-cancerous skin lesions, including:
- Skin tags (acrochordons)
- Milia
- Cherry angiomas
- Seborrhoeic keratoses
- Age spots / solar lentigines
- Viral warts
- Benign pigmentation lesions
All lesions are carefully assessed prior to treatment. Any lesion that appears suspicious will be referred for medical evaluation before treatment.

What Happens During Treatment
Consultation & Assessment
Your practitioner will examine the lesion(s), discuss your medical history, and confirm suitability for treatment.
Treatment Application
- The freezing agent is applied directly to the lesion
- Treatment usually lasts a few seconds per lesion
- You may feel a cold, stinging, or tingling sensation
Post-Treatment Response
- The lesion may darken, blister, or crust
- It will gradually dry up and fall away naturally
Most appointments are completed within 10–30 minutes, depending on the number of lesions treated.
Aftercare and Healing
After cryotherapy, the treated area may appear red, swollen, or blistered. This is a normal part of the healing process.
Healing typically takes 7–21 days, depending on the lesion type and location.
Results & Treatment Course
- Many lesions are successfully removed in one treatment
- Larger or stubborn lesions may require additional sessions
- Once removed, the same lesion will not return
New lesions may develop over time due to genetics, ageing, or lifestyle factors.

Most clients experience a brief stinging, tingling, or cold sensation. Any discomfort is short-lived and generally very well tolerated.
- Are pregnant (depending on lesion type and area)
- Have certain autoimmune or healing disorders
- Have circulation issues in the treatment area
- Have suspicious or undiagnosed lesions
Skin Lesion Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy is a clinical treatment used to remove common benign skin lesions using controlled freezing. The treatment targets unwanted tissue while minimising impact on surrounding skin.
Liquid nitrogen or a precision freezing device is applied to the lesion. The cold destroys the targeted cells. The treated area then heals naturally over time.
Cryotherapy is suitable for facial areas where accuracy matters. Treatment time is short. Discomfort is brief. Downtime is minimal.
